Uwe Herlyn, born in Rhauderfehn in 1968, studies architecture at the Münster School of Architecture from 1990 to 2000. During his studies, he works for seven years as a tutor in the Department of Construction under Professor Herbert Bühler.
He joins Diener & Diener Architekten in Berlin in 2001 and becomes an Associate in 2012. As a team and project leader, he oversees and delivers projects across a range of typologies and scales, from planning through to completion. In 2012, he leads the realisation of Diener & Diener's ‘Common Pavilions’ contribution to the 13th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice.
