Stephan Gude, born in Mesum near Rheine in 1975, first completes an apprenticeship as an architectural draughtsman in Aachen. He then studies architecture at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern from 1999 to 2007 and graduates under Professor Elke Seitz and Professor Ingemar Vollenweider.

His first period at Diener & Diener Architekten begins in 2007, where he works until 2014 as an architect responsible for project delivery and as a project leader. After serving as studio director at a Basel architecture practice, he returns to Diener & Diener in 2018 and becomes an Associate in 2026. As a team and project leader, he is responsible for refurbishments, new buildings and conversions across a range of typologies and scales. A focus of his work is the planning and delivery of complex building projects.
