Ralph Franz, born in Dorsten in 1978, studies architecture and urban design at TU Dortmund University from 1998 to 2005.

He joins Diener & Diener Architekten in 2005 and becomes an Associate in 2012. As a team and project leader, he is responsible for new-build and refurbishment projects across a range of typologies and scales. A further focus of his work is urban planning. He develops urban design frameworks and development plans together with their associated reference designs, linking architectural development with broader urban questions.
