Andreas Rüedi, born in Basel in 1958, studies architecture at ETH Zurich from 1977 to 1983 and graduates under Professor Dolf Schnebli. From 1991 to 1992, he is a design assistant in Professor Hans Kollhoff's chair at ETH Zurich.

He joins Diener & Diener Architekten in Basel in 1983. He becomes a member of Executive Management in 1991 and a partner in 2011. He leads projects in Switzerland and internationally and, together with Michael Roth, directs the Basel office at both operational and strategic level.

His extensive knowledge of the practice's development and working methods informs his architectural work.
